Submission Guidelines for Authors
Manuscript Preparation
- Articles prepared using LaTeX are preferable. However, articles prepared in Microsoft-Word format are also acceptable. Please download the Latex Template or MS Word Template. The PDF of the Template can also be downloaded. Please prepare a PDF of your manuscript using one of these templates only.
- Figures should be in JPG/PNG/PDF format only with good resolution. The file size of a figure should preferably be less than 1 MB and the PDF of the manuscript should be of less than 10 MB size. Axes labels, legends in figures should be clearly readable without zooming in.
- Title should have maximum of 80 characters including space and the abstract should be within 200 words.
- Authors need to provide 3 to 6 keywords appropriate for the article.
- The body of the text should be divided into different sections preferably starting with “Introduction” and ending with “Conclusions”. Sections should be numbered I, II, III..while sub-sections of section I should be numbered as I.A, I.B..
- Tables should be numbered using I, II, III..in order of their appearance. Figures should be numbered using 1, 2, 3..in order of their appearance. They should have appropriate captions to make them self-explanatory. Tables, Figures should be referred as Table I, Fig. 1 etc. in the text.
- Equations should be numbered as (1), (2)..and be referred as Eq. (1), Eq. (2) etc. in the text.
- Acknowledgements and Appendices, if any, should appear after the last section of the manuscript i.e. “Conclusions”. While “Acknowledgements” is not numbered, Appendices should be numbered A, B, C, etc. Equation within Appendix A should be numbered (A.1), (A.2)..while figures and tables follow a continuous numbering.
- References should appear at the end of the manuscript. For example, the article titled “A Model of Leptons” written by Steven Weinberg, published in Physical Review Letters volume 19, page 1264 in the year 1967 should be included in the “References” as [1] S. Weinberg, A Model of Leptons, Phys. Rev. Lett. 19, 1264 (1967). This should be cited in the text as [1]. Arxiv pre-print ID, DOI can also be included in the reference, if available. DOI, if available, will be hyperlinked with the journal information.
Scientific and Ethical Standards
- The content of the manuscript should be original, presentable and relevant to any area of physics.
- Listed authors should include only the ones having non-trivial contribution to the manuscript.
- All listed authors should have consent for the submission of the manuscript to the journal.
- The manuscript is neither published or submitted elsewhere.
- Plagiarism is not acceptable. Overlap with own articles is also considered as plagiarism. Submitted articles go through a plagiarism check before being sent for review.
- Authors may use AI-based tools exclusively for language editing and should be either declared to the editor while submitting or included in the paper itself. Submitted articles go through a check to detect the use of AI.
Submission and peer review
- Submissions are considered for publication throughout the year.
- Articles should be submitted via the journal website The journal website can be found at: https://journals.paneindia.org/index.php/pjp. Create an account and proceed with the submission. If you face any issue, please inform the editorial team via email: pane.journal@gmail.com.
- Authors must submit only a PDF of the manuscript, prepared by following the procedures given above. If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the authors will be requested to submit a zip file containing all the source files like tex/doc/bib file, figures etc.
- The submitter should be the corresponding author as indicated in the manuscript.
- By submitting, authors agree to the journal policy.
- Editors will send the manuscript to expert reviewers for peer-review. However, editors have the right to reject an article without review, if found unsuitable.
- Authors will be given 30 days of initial deadline to respond to reviewer’s comments. Authors need to submit the revised manuscript and a separate document responding to the reviewer’s comments and include a summary of changes. The 30 days of initial deadline can be extended upon request.
- After the acceptance of manuscript, a proof will be sent to the corresponding author. Authors will have 3 days of time to respond to the proof related queries and make minor changes.
